If you’re trading stocks, ETFs, or other equities, we support the following order types:

Market orders are Good-for-Day (GFD) orders and you can enter other order types as GFD or Good-til-Canceled (GTC).

Robinhood Financial doesn’t currently support short selling, bracket orders, Market-on-Close orders, or Market-on-Open orders.

To change order types:

  1. Go to the stock’s detail page
  2. Select Trade
  3. Select Buy or Sell
  4. Choose the order type you want to use

  1. Go to the stock’s detail page
  2. Select an option for Order type
